El Hondo
The natural park’s visitor centre has a short walk to two small lagoons, and the bird route with its hides is about five kilometres there and back. People park, set off with binoculars, and come back to the car with the keys on the driver’s seat. What to do from the car park at El Hondo.
The sierra and the plain
Walkers park at the foot of the Serra de Crevillent; farmers and owners of country houses park by their plots on the plain. Send a pin, and say if the last stretch is a dirt track.
The estates and the station
Car parks on I-Faima, Cachapets and the other estates, and by Crevillente station on the C-1 line. Name the estate, or the station, and the street. If the unit is shut too, its doors and shutters are on the commercial page.

Before you ring about a locked car
The car is a hire car from the airport. Can you open it?
Yes, with the rental agreement in your name, on your phone or visible through the window. Some hire companies want to be told first, so it is worth a call to their assistance line too.
The keys are locked in, and the engine is still running.
Say so when you ring. It is treated as urgent, and the car is opened the same way, without damage.
Once it is open, can you make me a second key so this cannot happen again?
No. No car keys of any kind are cut, supplied, copied or programmed here, and neither are remotes. For a second key, ask your dealer or a specialist in car keys.
I am parked on a track in the sierra. Can you find me?
Send your location on WhatsApp from beside the car and say which road you turned off. If a van cannot reach the car, you are told before anyone sets off.
